Traffic changes from 24 October 2024

As part of the Moorebank Intermodal Precinct project, traffic changes will be taking place with impacts to road users.
Project contractor, BMD Constructions, will be undertaking a traffic switch at the intersection of Anzac Road and Moorebank Avenue from Thursday 24 October, there will be changes to the configuration as follows:
– The left-hand turn lane from Moorebank Avenue to Anzac Road will become a left turn/straight lane
– An additional southbound lane on Moorebank Avenue from Anzac Road will open, connecting to the dual lanes 200 meters south
– Lateral shift west at the northern end of the upgrade, same configuration.

Thursday 24 October, weather permitting.
In the event this work cannot occur due to the weather, it will be undertaken during the next available shift, any updates will be published to the project website.
What to expect
On Thursday 24 October 2024, weather permitting, there will be changes to Moorebank Avenue and Anzac Road intersection.
Work will involve a lateral shift of traffic lanes to the west and additional lanes opened including excavating, saw cutting and asphalt works, installing signage, pavement works barrier install, line marking that will require the use of light vehicles, excavators, rollers, an asphalt paver, profiler, bobcat, compaction equipment, bogie trucks and lighting towers.
Moorebank Avenue and Anzac Road will remain open at all times.
This work will create additional background noise and traffic delays, please avoid the area if possible. Access to emergency vehicles and buses remains as usual. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
