As part of the Moorebank Intermodal Precinct project, the Moorebank Avenue Realignment out of hours work will start from 31 August 2026.

MARW involves the realignment of an existing two kilometre section of Moorebank Avenue, from approximately 130 metres south of the existing Anzac Road/Moorebank Avenue intersection to immediately north of the East Hills Railway. This will be constructed as a new four-lane/two-lane road, east of the existing Moorebank East Precinct, and is expected to have minimal impact on existing traffic arrangements.

Extra out of hours work

We recently engaged with properties within Wattle Grove about potentially commencing works one hour earlier at 6am for up to five days per week. The extra shifts would allow us to complete important work more efficiently and ensure the project is delivered on time, without extending disturbance for the community.

We received an overall positive response to this proposal and we appreciate the support and understanding of surrounding residents.

Following this engagement, from Monday 31 August to Monday 30 November 2026, we will begin to work from 6am up to five days a week.

What to expect

Work will include the following activities:

• General concrete work including setting up, concrete pouring from a truck or a pump
• Concrete paving work including setting up, concrete pouring by hand or with a paver.

Equipment:

• Concrete truck
• Concrete pump
• Paver
• Small supporting equipment.

Where & when

This work will take place within the Moorebank Intermodal Precinct, with no impact to road users. We will require the use of light vehicles, lighting towers, saw cutters, excavators, rollers, bobcat, compaction equipment, bogie trucks and heavy vehicles.

• 7.00am – 6.00pm Monday to Friday
•  8.00am – 1.00pm Saturdays
