As part of the Moorebank Intermodal Precinct project, the Moorebank Avenue Realignment out of hours work will start from 16 October 2026.

MARW involves the realignment of an existing two kilometre section of Moorebank Avenue, from approximately 130 metres south of the existing Anzac Road/Moorebank Avenue intersection to immediately north of the East Hills Railway. This will be constructed as a new four-lane/two-lane road, east of the existing Moorebank East Precinct, and is expected to have minimal impact on existing traffic arrangements.

Out of hours work

To allow the pavement construction at the intersections of Moorebank Avenue Realignment with Marcus Place and Tiber Place we require to complete work outside of standard construction hours.

We will be working 24 hours from:

• 8.00pm Friday 16 October to 5.00am Monday 19 October 2026, weather permitting.

This work has been scheduled outside of regular construction hours to reduce disruption to road users and local businesses. While these works may generate some additional background noise, the activities will comply with the project’s noise controls established within the planning approvals.

What to expect

Work will include the following activities:

• Barrier movement
• Line removal
• Pavement excavation and removal
• Concreting
• Asphalting
• Line marking

Where & when

This work will take place within the Moorebank Intermodal Precinct, with no impact to road users. We will require the use of light vehicles, lighting towers, saw cutters, grinders, line markers, excavators, rollers, bobcat, compaction equipment, concrete trucks, bogie trucks, paving machines and other heavy vehicles.

Standard Construction hours

• 7.00am – 6.00pm Monday to Friday
• 8.00am – 1.00pm Saturdays

Out of Hours Works

• 8.00pm Friday – 8.00am Saturday
• 1.00pm Saturday – 5.00am Monday
