Out of Hours Works Notification: Fill Importation onto MPW Stage 1- Updated

Out of hours works are intended to be undertaken shortly at the Moorebank Logistics Park site. Details and information that you need to know are as follows.

What works are proposed?

SIMTA contractors will be importing fill material (primarily sandstone) onto the southern area of the Moorebank Precinct West (MPW) site, as permitted under the MPW Stage 1 consent (SSD 5066).

Key activities that the community should be aware of include truck movements along the South Western (M5) Motorway and along Moorebank Avenue, before entering the MPW Site. Vehicles and machinery will be utilised to unload and stockpile the material only.

When are the works proposed?

The works are intended to commence evening of 6 October, 2021 and until the 18 December, 2021. The timing and extended duration of these works is in response to material availability and demand across Greater Sydney, as well as in response to impacts that the Covid-19 pandemic has had on the construction sector.

All works will be completed in accordance with the approved MPW Stage 1 management plans, available on the SIMTA website.

Potential Impacts to the Community?

Please be advised that during this period there may be additional background noise generated during 12:00am Monday – 6:00am Saturday. Every effort will be made to minimise disruption to the local community and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.

No other impacts on the community are expected. Moorebank Avenue and other local roads will remain open during this period. All other construction activities will remain within regular construction hours (7:00 am – 6:00pm Monday – Friday & 8:00 am – 1:00 pm Saturdays), unless subject to a separate out-of-hours works approval or Environmental Planning and assessment (COVID-19 Development-Construction Work Days) Order (No 3) 2021.
