Out of hours work notification – service installation on Chatham Avenue

Out of Hours work will soon be carried out at Moorebank Intermodal Terminal development site.

Here’s what you need to know.

What we’re doing

SIMTA contractors will be installing services under an access road to the western allotment of the Moorebank Intermodal Terminal development site.

Work will take place on Chatham Avenue near Moorebank Avenue. Key work activities will include machinery use, trenching, installation of conduit, and road re-instatement.

To avoid disruption to road users, the work will be completed from 6 am to 6 pm on Saturday 27 March 2021 from 6am to 6pm.

Chatham Avenue will be closed from Moorebank Avenue while this work is taking place, with trucks and work vehicles accessing the site via “Gate 6” located to the north of Chatham Avenue. Traffic controllers will be in place to ensure the safety of all road users while vehicles enter and exit the site.

All works will be completed in accordance with approved management plans.

How this may affect you

Noise

This work may create additional background noise from 6 am to 6 pm on the day. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Traffic

Moorebank Avenue will remain open at all times. If you are using Moorebank Avenue during this time, please drive to conditions, obey roadwork speed limits and follow the directions of traffic controllers.
