New solar-powered EV truck Charge and Change Station at MIP

This month we welcomed NSW Minister for Transport, Jo Haylen, to the launch of Janus Electric’s latest Charge and Change Station for electric heavy vehicles at Moorebank Intermodal Precinct.

These pioneering battery-swapping stations, powered entirely by rooftop solar, mark a significant step in transforming Australia’s heavy vehicle transport sector. The quick swap takes just a few minutes, about the same amount of time as refuelling. It’s the first facility of its kind to be built at an Australian intermodal terminal where freight is moved between road and rail.

This milestone reflects our wider commitment cut down greenhouse gas emissions and help to set a new standard in sustainable freight transport.
