Moorebank 33kV Substation Works

A new 33 kV Endeavour Energy connection to improve and extend power infrastructure within the Moorebank area and meet load requirements for the operation of Moorebank Logistics Precinct is required.

These works were in conjunction with Endeavour Energy to meet the needs of Moorebank Logistics Precinct’s future expansion and will involve constructing a 33kv and 11kv switch rooms in the highlighted area below.

Works will involve inground conduit and cable installation, structural works for foundations of switch rooms and civil works.

To minimise noise impacts to adjacent residents where practical and possible, noise-intensive works will be undertaken during the daytime hours between 7 am and 6 pm. However, some night work will be required to be undertaken due to the nature of critical activities and safety.

Start date: 9 September 2024

Location: Bushmaster Avenue, Moorebank (see Google maps).

Work activity: Excavating trenches and installing inground conduits. Excavating for foundations of switch rooms. Installing formwork for switch room foundations. Installing precast pits.

Equipment: Mobile crane, trucks, excavator and tool trucks.

How Will Works Affect You?

The work will involve the use of machinery which generates noise, light and vibration. We will make practical possible effort to minimise these impacts by using noise blankets, turning off vehicles when not in use, and replacing the reserving signals on vehicles with clickers and for nighttime work directing lights down.

Noise levels will be moderate to low.

Directly affected residents will be contacted and advised of the likely impact and what we are doing to minimise disruption during the work.

Residents and businesses will be advised in advance of power outages (if necessary). Outages will be approximately one to two weeks apart and staged in a sequence to not affect the same residents or businesses on consecutive outages.

Traffic Changes

There will be no impacts to traffic as a result of these works.
