Helicopter lifting: 18 February 2023

Saturday 11th February 2023

Moorebank Logistics Park contractors will be carrying out helicopter lifting works. The work will involve short helicopter lifts within the site, lowering and delivery of equipment. Refuelling will also be undertaken as required. This activity has been scheduled during weekend construction hours for safety reasons as the immediate surrounding area must be closed while the helicopter operation takes place.

Moorebank Precinct West (west of Moorebank Avenue):
Within standard Saturday construction hours from 8:00am – 1:00pm
Saturday 18 February 2023

Please note this work is sensitive to weather conditions and may be delayed at short notice.
If weather conditions do not allow the lifts to be carried out on the 18 February. The works will be rescheduled to:

Saturday 25 February 2023, 8:00 – 1:00 pm, weather permitting
Saturday 4 March 2023, 8:00 – 1:00 pm, weather permitting

What to expect
This work will create additional background noise. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
The contractors will make every reasonable effort to minimise noise generation and disturbance to nearby residents and businesses. The nearest properties in Casula and Wattle Grove are likely to experience periods of noise impacts due to the nature and location of the helicopter lifts.

Moorebank Avenue will not be affected and will remain open. Every effort will be made to minimise disruption to the local community, and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. All works will be carried out according to the approved MPW Stage 2 management plans, which are available to view on the SIMTA website.
