Out of hours helicopter lifting works – Moorebank Precinct East

Out of hours works will be carried out at the Moorebank Logistics Park on Sunday 23 October from 7.30am until 4pm, weather permitting. Please note these works were originally scheduled to take place on Saturday 8 October but have been rescheduled due to weather.

Project contractor, QuadSol will be undertaking a program of helicopter lifting to deliver plant and equipment to the rooftop of two warehouses located at Moorebank Precinct East (east of Moorebank Avenue). The works will involve short helicopter lifts within the site and refuelling, as required.

This is the second round of QuadSol’s helicopter lifting program at Moorebank Precinct East and is one of a number of helicopter lifts that will be occurring over the coming months. A notification will also be delivered via letterbox distribution to community members nearby the works in the following week.

This work has been scheduled outside of weekday construction hours for safety reasons as the rest of the site must be closed during the helicopter lift works.

What to expect

Noise

This work will create additional background noise.

The contractor will make every effort to minimise noise generation and disturbance to nearby residents and businesses as much as practically possible, however nearest properties in Wattle Grove are likely to experience periods of noise impacts due to the nature and location of the helicopter lifts.

Traffic

Moorebank Avenue will remain open at all times. Any traffic movement associated with the helicopter lifting activity will be minimal.
