Tree clearing to begin for new rail line

Moorebank Logistics Park contractor CPB will start work on Friday, 8 September, to carry out tree clearing necessary for the construction of the new rail line connecting the project’s import/export terminal to the Southern Sydney Freight Line.

Pre-clearance surveys and boundary marking have been carried out in advance of the work.

The work will include removal of trees by excavator and/or handheld chainsaw, and mulching of trees, with work to take place from 7am to 5pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 1pm Saturday.

Weather permitting, the work should take about a week.

There will be no changes to traffic arrangements, impact to utility service authorities or disruption of residential or business access and noise, vibration or dust impacts are expected to be minimal.
