Traffic Changes from 4 May 2023

As part of the Moorebank Intermodal Precinct project, traffic changes will be taking place with impacts to road users.
Project contractor, BMD Constructions, will be re-opening Bapaume Road and permanently closing Chatham Avenue from Thursday 4 May.

Bapaume Road re-opening
Bapaume Road will re-open to road users from Thursday 4 May, weather permitting. Bapaume Road will have new line marking and a dedicated right turn lane from Moorebank Avenue.

Chatham Avenue closure
Chatham Avenue will be permanently closed, and traffic signals will be removed from Moorebank Avenue from Friday 12 May, weather permitting. All access to Moorebank Intermodal Precinct West will be via Bapaume Road.

What to expect
To ensure the safety of workers and road users, traffic changes will be in place on Moorebank Avenue while work is being carried out including temporary lane and shoulder closures.
Electronic signage will advise road users of these changes. Please keep to speed limits and follow signs and traffic controllers’ directions.
Moorebank Avenue will remain open at all times.
