Out of Hours work will soon be carried out at Moorebank Intermodal Terminal development site.

Here’s what you need to know.

What we’re doing

SIMTA contractors will transport earth materials to site for use in the foundations of the Moorebank Avenue road upgrade.

Key activities involved in this work include the movement of trucks between the South Western Motorway and the Moorebank Intermodal Terminal development site. Vehicles and machinery will also be used to place and level the material.

The work zone within the development site is situated adjacent to Moorebank Avenue between Bapaume Road and 200 m south of Chatham Avenue (view map of work location here).

To avoid disruption to local businesses and road users, on weekdays these activities will begin at 5:30 am. These extended working hours are scheduled to commence on Monday 15 March and will continue to the end of April 2021. 

All works will be completed in accordance with approved management plans.

How this may affect you

Noise

This work may create additional background noise during 5.30am to 7:00am.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Traffic

Moorebank Avenue will remain open at all times.

Construction hours

Normal construction hours are from 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday and from 8am to 1pm Saturdays.
