Out of hours work notification – road upgrade and services installation
Current Works
Wednesday 31st March 2021
Out of Hours work for the planned road upgrade of Moorebank Avenue will soon be carried out at Moorebank Intermodal Terminal development site.
Here’s what you need to know.
What we’re doing
Chatham Avenue work location
SIMTA contractors will build a diversion road over Chatham Avenue, the internal access road to the western allotment of the site (see map here).
To avoid disruption to road users, the work will be completed without pause between 6 pm Friday 9 April to 6 am Monday 12 April.
Chatham Avenue will be closed from Moorebank Avenue while this work is taking place, with trucks and vehicles accessing the site via “Gate 6” located to the north of Chatham Avenue.
Moorebank Avenue work location
Contractors for a utility service provider will install new services in the verge of Moorebank Avenue near Anzac Road (see map here).
To avoid disruption to road users, night work will be completed between 6 pm and 6 am on Thursday 22, Friday 23, Monday 26, and Tuesday 27 April.
While Moorebank Avenue will remain open while this work is being completed, some lanes will be closed and temporary traffic barriers put in place.
All works in both locations will be completed in accordance with approved management plans.
How this may affect you
Traffic
Moorebank Avenue will remain open at all times. If you are using Moorebank Avenue, please drive to conditions, obey roadwork speed limits and follow the directions of traffic controllers. Traffic controllers will be in place to ensure the safety of all road users.
