Notification of works commencement – footings construction

Work will soon begin on the construction of footings along the western boundary of the Moorebank Intermodal Terminal development site.

From 15 February, SIMTA contractors will begin drilling holes for the footings, with the aim to complete the work in May 2021.

The indicative work area is displayed in the attached diagram (click here to access).

The work will be completed during our approved hours of work, from 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday and from 8am to 1pm Saturdays.

Residents located adjacent to the work zone may hear a minor increase in noise levels while this work is taking place. Practical mitigation measures identified in the Construction Noise and Vibration Management Plan will be implemented to minimise noise impacts on neighbouring residents.

Further updates will be provided as construction of the footings progresses.
