Out of hours work notification – importing fill

Current Works
Sunday 3rd October 2021

Out of hours works will soon be carried out as part of the Moorebank Logistics Park development.

Contractors will be importing fill (primarily sandstone) onto the Moorebank Precinct West (MPW) site, which is permitted under the MPW Stage 2 consent (SSD 7709).

There will be truck movements along the South Western Motorway (M5) and along Moorebank Ave, before entering the MPW site. Vehicles and machinery will be used to unload and stockpile material only.

Works are intended to commence on 13 October, 2021 and extend for a period of three months. The timing and duration of these works is a factor of the availability of material and demand for construction materials across Greater Sydney, and also the impacts COVID-19 has had on the industry.

To minimise impacts and disruption to local businesses and road users, these works are proposed to be completed outside regular construction hours, being:

  • 6:00am – 7:00am Monday to Friday
  • 6:00pm – 10:00pm Monday to Friday

Moorebank Ave and other local roads will remain open during this period, and other construction activities will remain within the regular construction hours, unless subject to a separate out-of-hours works approval or Environmental Planning and assessment (COVID-19 Development-Construction Work Days) Order (No 3) 2021.

Every effort will be made to minimise disruption to the local community and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

All works will be carried out according to the approved MPW Stage 2 management plans, which are available on the SIMTA website: www.simta.com.au

If you require further information or have any concerns, please feel free to contact SIMTA (Sydney Intermodal Terminal Alliance) on 1800 986 465 (24/7) or simta@elton.com.au
