Changed road alignment on Moorebank Avenue bridge
Current Works
Wednesday 15th August 2018
The alignment of traffic lanes on the Moorebank Avenue bridge over East Hills rail line will change in late August, as CPB Contractors continues its work delivering the SIMTA rail link.
Traffic lanes will move to the west across the bridge to allow CPB to continue piling on the eastern side as part of an underpass that will allow trains to move from the Southern Sydney Freight Line to the SIMTA import/export terminal.
The road will be reduced to one lane at times outside of weekday peak periods (6-10am and 3-7pm), with Stop/Go in place under the supervision of traffic controllers.
The work will include laying asphalt, installing safety barriers and linemarking. It is scheduled to occur between August 27 and 29, but dates may vary depending on weather.
A 40km/h roadwork speed limit is already in place. Motorists are asked to obey the direction of traffic controllers, drive to the conditions and expect changes.
